We are at the very beginning of a global gratitude awakening, where gratitude will become the norm in society. The interest in the science and practice of gratitude is important at this moment in time because this is what gives us the strength of our character to make life better not only for ourselves, but also for others. During these trying times instead of hating on one another and spreading more hate and fear we should be coming together with each other and appreciate all the things around us.
Gratitude is an emotion similar to appreciation, and positive psychology research has found neurological reasons why so many people can benefit from this general practice of expressing thanks for our lives, even in times of challenge and change.
When we bring in more gratitude to our lives we are able to have longer lasting positivity and happiness in our world. We are able to experience life satisfaction and be able to express more gratitude to others in different situations.
Expressing your thanks can improve your overall sense of well-being. Grateful people are more agreeable, more open, and less neurotic.
Gratitude is a universal practice
We live in a world where we want and need and we are shifting the mind to what we actually have we can let go of wanting and needing. To experience the sustainable benefits of practising gratitude, we must become habitually aware of gratitude-inspiring events and circumstances, then declare and share these with others. This is the key to an effective guided practice and being more grateful in our lives.

There has been many that have said that gratitude can start with words of thanks, but it is much more than that. It is triggered with an emotion too. It can lead to more positive emotions, the positive emotions can lead to less negative emotions, it can lead to more positivity and others will then ripple this onto others and receive this in return. It also allows for more positive relationships.
